Starting with the gradual reveal of newcomers ahead of the title's release, to players developing strong opinions on the full lineup of Mega Evolutions, there's a lot for enthusiasts to anticipate.

Given many of the Super Forms showcasing distinctive designs that emphasize their personalities, one idea naturally: How can connect this with zodiac signs? The following is based on a blend of intuition, common zodiac traits, and personal experience.

The Ram – Super Camerupt

Much like an enrapturing, gregarious Twins, it's very simple to imagine Super Medicham mesmerizing an entire open area with their stories. This Pokémon's Pokédex entry also mentions its capacity to predict an opponent's next moves, which seems quite similar to a socially-savvy Gemini.

Cancer – Super Manectric

The Maiden – Super Victreebel

The ever-prepared and perpetually-anxious Maiden is perfectly represented in Super Victreebel, the Super Form with perpetual acid reflux. The zodiac symbol known for being endearingly critical is clearly mirrored across this Pokémon’s entire lineage, from a always surprised face like a Virgo when you inform them you don’t have a retirement plan, to its upside-down visage that’s just like the emoji a Virgo posts to the chatroom when everyone says they want to “be spontaneous” rather than creating a plan.

Libra – Mega Audino

Look at this sweet, empathetic being, who uses the sensors on its ears to tell how others are emotionally by their pulse. Always compassionate – sometimes to a fault – and striving to maintain the harmony, there are numerous Libras who would probably appreciate Mega Audino’s skills. However, to be frank, it would probably just make them stress more about others.

Scorpio – Super Banette

This Ghost-type is a creature with a surprisingly sad origin: Abandoned as a toy, it gained consciousness through pure resentment and vowed revenge on its former owner. According to the official info, Mega Evolution, “increases its spitefulness.” That sounds exactly like many discussions I’ve had with my intense Scorpio friends. A Scorpio loves cosmic justice and retribution, making them the perfect match with Super Banette.

The Archer – Super Hawlucha

Both Super Hawlucha and Archers are constantly putting on a performance. As a Archer myself, the amount of times I’ve called myself some version of a “silly little jester” is countless. The showiest and most obnoxious Mega Evolution, its Pokédex entry even mentions how it “flexes to show off its power.” I would do the exact same thing if I had a Super Form, making Mega Hawlucha the most fitting Archer counterpart I can think of.

The Goat – Mega Absol

Did you know that a Mega Absol has the power to foresee calamities in advance? That gives the exact same vibe as a Capricorn, who often always believe they’re correct. The thing is, similar to a prophetic Super Absol, they often are. It’s also the absolute initial Super Form that trainers encounter in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Capricorn to get in on the ground floor of the Mega trend.

The Water Bearer – Mega Chandelure
